The story of our family business begins with Raymond Sacret. In 1920, this cheerful man with a strong character decided to launch and market his own champagne made from his own vines. He gave birth to Champagne Sacret. The know-how was then passed down from generation to generation.
This is how Josette, Raymond's granddaughter, ran the house for many years before her son James (and great-grandson of Raymond) continued the adventure.
When James took over the management of Champagne Sacret in 2009, he decided to leave the head office located in Romery (a pretty little village in the Marne Valley) to settle in Aÿ-Champagne, a town favoured by Henri IV and classified as a Grand Cru.
This bon vivant was keen to share his taste for good things, and in particular to introduce visitors to his champagnes, produced with passion, and to the art of Champagne hospitality.
CSo it was a natural step for him to open the Domaine Sacret in 2014.
